Forbidden Storm by A. R. Vagnetti is a paranormal fantasy romance. Lucretia Bramen is a vampire warrior, one of Queen Nicole's elite Guardians. It is her job to protect the new monarch as well as to protect humans from unruly immortals. Lucretia has found her true mate and it is none other than the deliciously handsome shifter alpha Kurtis Ruse. Generally, finding one's mate would be a thing of joy except that different immortal species are not allowed to mate or, even worse, procreate. Things are made complicated when the attraction between them burns hotter than ever. Lucretia must avoid Kurtis or court disaster. Unfortunately, Kurtis has other ideas, and staying away isn’t one of them. A. R. Vagnetti creates an interesting supernatural world and weaves a story that draws the reader in from the start. The laws of the supernaturals are a big part of the conflict our hero and heroine face. How can Lucretia ignore her one true mate knowing there will never be anyone like him in her life? Would she be willing to die for love? It’s really exciting when the stakes in a love affair are so high as is the case in Forbidden Storm. I loved the heroine because she was a strong character who had very hard decisions to make. There is nothing like hard-won love to whet the appetite of a romance fan. The hero knew what he wanted and didn’t let anything stand in his way. There are elements of BDSM and rape triggers. For anyone who enjoyed Underworld, I recommend you give this book a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed."
